Arsenal defender David Luiz has received messages on Instagram from his old Chelsea team-mates after messing up in the Gunners’ 3-1 defeat away to Liverpool at the weekend. The experienced Brazil international joined Arsenal from Chelsea on deadline day in something of a surprise transfer, though it initially looked like a potentially smart deal done on the cheap by the north Londoners. Still, Luiz has long had a reputation for being something of an error-prone defender, even if he has plenty of quality on the ball, making him a decent fit for Unai Emery’s style of building from the back. Chelsea take on RB Salzburg tonight in their penultimate match of pre-season for Frank Lampard. The Blues have had a jam-packed summer and now only a match at the RB Salzburg and another against Borussia Monchengladbach stand before the Blues and the 2019/20 Premier League campaign. As expected, Lampard has rotated his players throughout the summer as he looks to give as many players a chance as possible and also trying to get the minutes in the legs for his players. However, at the Red Bull Arena it looks like Lampard has gone for his strongest team and could be the one to face Manchester United on August 11.
